Joy the Baker Cookbook

This awesome cookbook is from one of my favorite blogs, joythebaker.com, and as soon as it came out on February 28, I ordered two copies, one for myself and one for my sister-in-law's birthday.

I just love her cookbook and her blog, as well as her podcast, on homefries.com, which is in its second year of running weekly podcasts. Joy and Tracey from shutterbean.com host this show, which is so much fun to listen to, always hilarious.

I've made lots of the recipes from this cookbook, which I'll post my pictures of soon. To order your own cookbook, go to Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

Baking in America: This is my favorite cookbook, hands down. Because my dad gave it to me. It was about ten years ago, for Christmas, and this cookbook has stuck with me through thick and thin. It has gorgeous pictures, and the history is well-researched and makes me feel super patriotic. The recipes are a bit complicated to make, so I re-write them on sticky notes. I recently made the cranberry muffins found on page 105.
